Abstract
This paper describes the iterative design of a three dimensional collaborative virtual learning environment (3D CVLE) called the Museum of Instructional Design (MID) that was developed using learning experience design processes. A detailed articulation of our three-phased learner experience design process will be outlined. Findings will provide insight into how other instructional designers can use formative learner experience design processes to create highly usable and effective 3D learning environments.
