Part of the book series: Lecture Notes in Logistics ((LNLO))

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to further develop a shared resource concept and to apply this to the field of intermodal transport, in particular to a digital logistics terminal. A literature analysis shows fairness, transparency and economic efficiency as the three key principles for the resource sharing concept. The assessment in the area of DLT shows great advantages as compared to conventional intermodal transport management, especially for terminal operators and transshipment customers.
