Abstract
We propose a new Gogny parametrization, which we call D1M\(^{*}\), aimed to be successful in the study of the properties of neutron stars and, at the same time, to describe finite nuclei with a similar quality as the D1M Gogny interaction. D1M\(^{*}\) is able to reach up to 2 solar masses (M\(_\odot \)) for a neutron star and give good global properties for them [1].
