Abstract

Linear scale-space filtering is mainly applied to gray-scale image analysis and two dimensional shape analysis. In this paper, we present a new application of scale-space filtering for the extraction of structure features of three-dimensional objects. Using linear scale-space analysis of three-dimensional object, we define the structure line of a three-dimensional object using the results of differential geometry.
