Abstract
A model for negative glow corona discharge in a coaxial electrode configuration is presented. The main goal of this model is to describe the influence of a more efficiently electron-attaching gas on the distribution of free electron density in the drift region. The calculated distributions of electrons and other ionic components are shown. The model was applied in experiments realized in air + freon mixtures. A qualitative agreement between theoretical and experimental results was achieved.
