Krüppel-Like Factor 5 Regulates CFTR Expression Through Repression by Maintaining Chromatin Architecture Coupled with Direct Enhancer Activation
2022, Journal of Molecular BiologyCitation Excerpt :Also as seen in Calu-3 cells, there is a marked reduction between the promoter and both the 48.9 kb site and 3′ adjacent sequences. All three clones exhibited a significantly reduced interaction within a site in intron 16, which corresponds to a DHS in some airway and pancreatic cell lines.39,40 A gain of looping interactions between the −20.9 kb CRE and the extended region within ∼50 kb of the 5′ TAD boundary confirmed findings with the promoter viewpoint (Figure S3, red line).
